What are the arguments against running a personal (i.e. single user) #Mastodon instance? You could use your own domain (and thus your email address matches your mastodon handle), plug into other instances ad hoc, and in principle have fewer performance issues. Other than server admin, what's the downside, especially if/once groups become a thing?
